I am a Bible sleuth, or detective. I find things that are lost and then write about them so others can find them, too. So far I’ve done well in finding things the church has lost, except for courage.
This is the case of lost courage. This I fear will be an open ended story.
The first century church was a most courageous people. They not only had Rome to contend with, but there were the temple priests, the pagans, and other groups who took various stands against them. Some didn’t believe in the resurrection and others didn’t believe Jesus was the son of YaHavah, aka, God and LORD for those who do not know his Hebrew name. Through all of the opposition, the first disciples had courage unto death. Like the prophets of the Old Testament, they suffered for the truth of Yah. They had courage. But where did courage flee too?
I see no courage today. What I see are cowards who can only mimic the errors taught to them by people they think they can trust. At some point many feel deep in their heart that something is wrong, but the longer they fail to attend to it, the harder their hearts become, until they are empty boxes with no doors or windows. They have become deaf to the Spirit’s knock at the door of their hearts because the door is gone. They cannot hear the Spirit urging them to repent and seek YaHavah’s truth through Jesus. How can the Spirit of YaHavah knock and call their names if they are rooms with no doors?
Courage has gone! Father, have mercy on them.
A few days after I wrote this in my journal, I received an email from Charisma News with an article titled “ISIS Kill List Names 15,000 Christian Americans Targeted for Death” by Bethany Blankley. You can read the article here. You can read the full article here.
Scuttlebutt has it that Christians of churches in certain named US cities are targeted for death. The article reports that a teenage Jihadist in the US decided that if he couldn’t go to the Middle East to join Jihad, he would do it in the city where he lives. He chose a mega church and made his plan. He acquired guns and a sword to sever heads. He especially liked the idea of severing heads. He was ready for Jihad—until his father discovered his cache in his car.
What does it take to get through Christian skulls that complacent status quo is not good enough? How can the truth get through to Christians today that the enemy is actively on the prowl to turn young impressionable minds and hearts into killers? And I’m not just talking about ISIS. I’m talking about the real leader of terrorism—that fallen angel we know as Satan. Even though he can’t be seen, he can be heard. He is very real. From the beginning he has prowled the earth to devour and destroy. All humanity is vulnerable to his attacks by error and fear.
It takes courage to dig out from under a deep pile of doctrinal errors to find the real truth of YaHavah and Jesus in the Judeo/Christian bible. I have been digging for 37 years. A few thousand seekers for truth worldwide have acquired my books that report what I have found about what was lost to the church. I gave the books and articles away free for years, but time is short to the return of Jesus and for me (nearing eighty). I needed more visitors and Amazon.com was the easiest choice where authors can publish for free. My Author Page.
Not all have the courage to listen, because there are many more nay Sayers who are eager to squelch what they don’t understand and who are satisfied with complacent status quo. They have chosen error as their truth and set out to intimidate and frighten those who seek the real truth. They don’t like anyone to rock the boat. Don’t they know that their error is the storm rocking their boat? Don’t they know that Jesus can walk on water and still the storm?
The fact of the matter is; ISIS doesn’t own terrorism. The Christian church is also full of intimidating terrorists shunning what they don’t understand and too lazy to find out. Both sides fail to understand that the world is running out of time. Both sides are making Satan’s work a whole lot easier. Will any of them have the courage to dig out from under error to seek the real Bible truth about YaHavah and Jesus?
What do you think? Please let me know.
